Cantigny American Monument

"Series of memorials to commemorate the first divisional level offensive action by the American Expeditionary Force in the Great War. The action took place under French command in May 1918. All of the memorials are situated in the small village of Cantigny. They include the official American Battle Monuments Commision memorial and individual memorials to the 1st Infantry division and the 28th Infantry regiment. It is possible to park up in the centre of the village and visit each memorial on foot."
